Ihitashri Shandilya – Acumen India Fellow & CEO, MITHILAsmita

Ihitashri is a Social Entrepreneur and a Sustainability Champion, working towards preserving and promoting a heritage art form of India - Madhubani Paintings and creating sustained livelihood for its women artists through 'Ethical Commercialization' of art. Through her brainchild Social Enterprise 'MITHILAsmita', Ihitashri is working towards creating a Sustainability Platform for the art and its rural artists. By qualifications, Ihitashri is an Electrical Engineering graduate from NIT Kurukshetra. She has also done courses on entrepreneurship and art marketing from ISB and Sotheby's Institute of Art, London respectively.
